CPA Participates in "A Hundred IP Agencies' Tour to Xiong'an"

On 21 December 2024, "A hundred IP agencies' tour to Xiong'an" took place in Xiong'an New Area in Hebei province, gathering leadership from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and All-China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA), senior officials from Hebei province and Xiong'an New Area, as well as representatives from 100 domestic intellectual property (IP) agencies from different parts of the country. China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) was invited to participate in the event.

The event featured the signing ceremony of a strategic cooperation agreement between the Coordinated Law Enforcement Bureau of Xiong'an New Area and the participating IP firms, which undertook to contribute to the high-quality IP development in the new area. Our firm was represented by CPA Beijing Office director Mr. Wen Dapeng at the signing ceremony.

At the event, speeches were delivered by ACPAA president Mr. He Hua, CNIPA Intellectual Property Utilization Promotion Department deputy director Mr. Peng Wen, Hebei Provincial Market Supervision Bureau deputy director Mr. Zhao Yanjun, and Xiongan New Area Management Committee deputy director Mr. Li Tao. In the keynote speech session, Mr. Ma Yongli, manager of International Filing Department at our Beijing Office, delivered a speech on the topic of "international patent filing trends and challenges facing IP industry".

Xiong'an is a state-level new area established in 2017 serving as a development hub for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei economic triangle in China. This event, themed "IP contributing to the high-quality development of Xiong'an", aimed at assisting in the acceleration of the development of an IP hub in the new area.
