CPA Gets On-Site Patent and Trademark Application Entrustments at Second International Supply Chain Expo
On 27 November 2024 during the Second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), our firm China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) participated in CISCE's IPR and Legal Service Workstation programme, providing enterprises with all-round, one-stop IP services on-the-spot. We gladly reported that we successfully received two entrustments by innovation entities with intellectual property (IP) applications at the workstation.
The entity engaging our firm to handle its application for trademark registration is a domestic food tech enterprise, which grows, develops, produces, and sells matcha, sencha, roasted tea and gyokuro tea, while the patent application was entrusted by a foreign company. At the workstation, our colleagues addressed enthusiastically innovation entities' inquiries and provided professional solutions supported by immediate online searches. Following the on-site entrustments, our responsible colleagues will proceed with the prosecution work corresponding to the examination procedures of the national IP administration to enable the new invention and trademark being granted the rights of exclusive protection as soon as feasible.
Our firm, with a history of four decades, has represented both domestic and foreign entities in over 480,000 patent applications and nearly 200,000 trademark applications, enjoying a high industry reputation internationally. As noted by Mr. Wu Yuhe, general manager of our firm, IP service is connected to the innovation entity on one end and the market on the other; it is not only a protection network for innovative achievements, but also a catalyst for new quality productivity. Amid the background of deepening implementation of the innovation-driven national strategy, continuous strengthening of China's protection for IP rights, and consecutive years of record high patent and trademark applications in China filed by both Chinese and foreign innovation entities, CPA will work even harder to continue providing more convenient and efficient service for innovation entities, and contribute to the realisation of high-quality IP development in the country.
