CPA Earns Again the Honour of Outstanding IP Service Team

On 12 January 2025, the 2025 Enterprise IP Strategy Forum and Annual Conference of In-house IP Managers was held in Beijing. The event gathered 450 participants from administrative agencies, judicial institutions, academia, corporate sector, and IP firms.

At the forum, an awards presentation ceremony was conducted to recognise outstanding teams and individuals in different intellectual property (IP) areas in China over the past year. We are glad to report that China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) again gained the title of Outstanding IP Service Team for year 2024, an honour we have received for consecutive years. Mr. Wen Dapeng, director of CPA Beijing Office, was present at the ceremony to receive the award on behalf of our firm.

The outstanding IP service team award identifies distinguished performance of an IP team with integrated strength in professional expertise, service capabilities, research competence, team stability, and social responsibility observance. In addition, innovations in service concept, management method, and talent training are also taken into account in the assessment.

The forum this year was themed "Empowering high-quality development". It featured two main discussion sessions which focused on corporate IP strategic development and corporate IP management practice respectively, along with three sub-sessions on "impact of the revision of Anti-Unfair Competition Law on enterprises' IP work", "application of AI and big data in IP for quality and efficiency enhancement" and "platform operation and liability in copyright infringement", delving into the role and value of IP in promoting high-quality economic development and accelerating new quality productivity, as well as the management and application of new technologies and relevant IP in corporate innovation.
