CPA Participates in Asian Licensing Conference & HK International Licensing Show

On 11-12 January 2016, the 5^th Asian Licensing Conference (ALC), organised by Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The conference, launched in 2012, has become the largest annual event of its kind in Asia. With the licensing industry booming in Asia, ALC attracted over 1,400 professionals from 23 countries and regions this year. China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA), represented by our assistant general managers Ms. Kathryn Fu and Mr. Wang Jingchao, was also a participant of the event.

Topics of this year's plenary sessions included licensing opportunities and strategies in Asia and the challenges of tapping the mainland licensing market. There were also three breakout sessions, which focused on licensing in the areas of entertainment and new media; fashion and lifestyle; and art, culture and tourism respectively. Over 30 global licensing experts were invited to speak for the occasion.

Taking place alongside ALC was the 14th Hong Kong International Licensing Show (HKILS). As Asia's largest licensing show, HKILS this year showcased more than 860 brands and properties involving 340 plus exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, and our firm was also one of the exhibitors joining the event.
