CPA Files Case with Nation's First IP Court on Behalf of Swiss Client
On 6 November 2014 China Beijing Intellectual Property Court
The new IP court, located in Haidian district of the Chinese capital, comprises four tribunals. It is headed by Mr. Su Chi, former vice president of Beijing Second Intermediate People's Court, and has unified jurisdiction over both civil and administrative cases related to IP rights.
On the very day the IP court commenced operation, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA)'s attorneys from Legal Affairs Department were there to bring a case to the court on behalf of a Swiss client. The case concerns invention patent infringement and has become one among the first batch of cases filed with the nation's pioneer IP court.
