Beijing Officials Visit CPA on IP Service Industry Development
On 20 May 2013, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) Beijing office was glad to receive six visiting officials from Beijing Intellectual Property Office (BIPO)’s patent administration division, coordination division, patent receiving office, and Beijing Patent Attorneys Association under the leadership of BIPO director Mr. Wang Hong.
As stated by Mr. Wang, the purpose of their visit was to understand the current situations of patent agencies in the municipality and explore what BIPO can do and how to support the further development of patent agencies, in adherence to the published Opinions on Promotion of Development of IP Service Industry.
CPA general manager Mr. Li Yong, during the meeting with the guests along with the firm's Beijing office director Mr. Kong Zhiqiang, deputy director Mr. Wu Yuhe and relevant department heads, extended warm welcome to the guests, and briefed them on the firm’s history, organisation and personnel structures, practice areas, management, and corporate responsibility.
The visiting officials then proceeded to discuss with the CPA leaders on a wide range of issues. Among them were professional liability insurance, industry service standard, service fees pricing, e-application, funding policy, and concerns for small and micro businesses.
According to Mr. Wang, CPA was one of the most outstanding patent agencies in China, and they looked forward to the firm's continued contribution by playing a leading role in the industry's development. Fully aware of its corporate responsibility as an industry leader, the firm would work hard and keep on finding ways to provide its clients with further enhanced services.
