CPA Attends 40th Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) Annual Meeting
On 9-11 September 2012, the 40th Annual Meeting of Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) was held in San Antonio, Texas, US.
A number of patent, trademark, and copyright related topics were discussed at parallel sessions, including the presentation on “Ethics in IP”, a topic of relevance to patent and trademark attorneys. Another highlight was the thought-provoking and inspiring luncheon speech by the honorable Randall R. Rader, Chief Judge, US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, who looked at the development of the US patent system from a philosophical angle. The annual meeting also offered a mix of committee meetings, exhibits, educational programs, and networking events.
China Patent Agent (H.K) Ltd. (CPA) participated in the event with a delegation of five led by its deputy general manager Mr. Zeng Xiangling. The CPA delegates made extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions with their foreign counterparts during the session. They also made time to meet with the US clients in the vicinity afterwards.
