CPA Conducts Mock Court in 2012 AIPPI China/Asia IP Seminar
In particular, CPA has taken charge of organizing and conducting the patent mock court session. To simulate a second instance court hearing over patent infringement dispute, the mock court also designated a collegial panel. Sitting on the bench were two distinguished guest judges from the Beijing First Intermediate People’s Court, namely, Ms. Jiang Ying, Vice President of its IPR Tribunal, and Judge Chen Wenxuan, along with CPA Deputy General Manager Ms. Tina Tai. For the roles of agent ad litem of the parties and technical expert, they were played by litigators from CPA’s Legal Affairs Department and patent attorneys from relevant patent departments.
In the trademark forum session, CPA’s Deputy General Manager Mr. Luo Hong acted as moderator of the hot topics discussions, whereas Trademark Department Manager Ms. Liang Hui was one of the speakers presenting on the issue of trademark infringement on the Internet.
The seminar drew to a close in the afternoon of 12 April. CPA General Manager Mr. Li Yong chaired the closing remarks in the capacity of Vice President of AIPPI China and led the seminar to a successful conclusion.
