WIPO Distance Learning IP Courses in Chinese Launched on CIPTC Platform
The China Intellectual Property Training Center (CIPTC), a sub-organisation of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), has launched the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) distance learning courses in Chinese on CIPTC platform on 25 October 2016.
This was the outcome of the latest partnership between CIPTC and WIPO Academy under a cooperation agreement signed in March 2016, according to which CIPTC will take charge of providing WIPO's distance learning courses in Chinese in adherence to WIPO Academy standards, whereas WIPO Academy will give required support in the offering, management, and administration of the courses. The collaboration reflected the anticipated demand for knowledge and training in the field of intellectual property (IP) among Chinese IP stakeholders while innovation has become a key development strategy of China.
As reported, the CIPTC platform will offer all of the current WIPO distance learning courses in Chinese by the end of 2017. Presently, WIPO courses available to the public in Chinese through CIPTC platform include basics of IP rights, IP management, and those related to patent, trademark, and copyright.
