State Council of China Invites Public Opinions on Revision of Patent Law (Draft for Review)

The Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council of China has published the Revision of the Patent Law of China (Draft for Review) for public comments.

This draft for review, representing substantive progress in pushing forward the fourth revision of the Chinese Patent Law, was submitted by the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) to the State Council for deliberation. It brings amendment to 18 articles, addition of 14 articles, deletion of 1 article, and adaptive modification in word usage to 4 articles on the basis of the current Patent Law.

The due date of the public consultation falls on 1 January 2016. Members of the public may voice their opinions on the draft for review by that date via the home page of the Legislative Affairs Office (http://www.chinalaw.gov.cn), by post to PO box 2067, Beijing Municipality, or through email to zlf@chinalaw.gov.cn.
