The 8th Cross-Strait Patent Forum Held in Guangzhou
On 22nd September 2015, the 8th Cross-Strait Patent Forum was held in Guangzhou, China. Over 200 representatives from the patent authorities, various industry sectors, and patent agencies from Mainland China and Taiwan took part in it.
This year the forum carried the theme of "Strategy and Management of Patent Portfolio and Litigation". During the one and a half day's meeting, the Mainland and Taiwan representatives reviewed, explored, and shared experience on issues related to patent industry in respective territories, such as recent development in the patent field, latest changes in patent laws, challenges faced by IP courts in handling patent cases and ways of addressing them, as well as patent portfolio and litigation strategies.
The forum was jointly hosted by All-China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA) and Taiwan-based Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI), and organised by Guangdong Intellectual Property Society.
