SIPO Extends PPH Pilot Programs with IP Offices of Singapore & Canada
Recently, the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) has extended its Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot programs with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) and Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) respectively. Both extensions will take effect from 1 September 2015. With relevant requirements and procedures unchanged, the pilot program with IPOS will run for an additional two years to 31 August 2017, while the one with CIPO for an additional three years to 31 August 2018.
SIPO launched the pilot programs with IPOS and CIPO respectively on 1 September 2013, and the initial trial period of both programs ended on 31 August 2015.
