2015 China Trademark Festival to Take Place in Haikou in October
The 7th China Trademark Festival is scheduled to take place during 16-19 October 2015 in Haikou, capital of Hainan province, as announced recently by co-organisers China Trademark Association and the People's Government of Haikou City at a press briefing.
According to the briefing, this year's trademark festival will carry the theme of "implementing trademark strategy for the development of a brand economy". Apart from China Trademark Annual Meeting, China Brand Expo, and a series of activities surrounding the topic, the event will also feature forums on protection and development of trademarks and brands associated with the national initiative of "One Belt, One Road" unveiled in 2013, in which Haikou is one of the key strategic hubs of the 21st Maritime Silk Road.
In addition, this year's trademark festival is going to debut a sub-forum during which the oral hearing process of a trademark review and adjudication case will be demonstrated. The launch of this forum is to enhance the participants' understanding through witnessing of the process of major issues in trademark review and adjudication cases as well as new requirements that may arise in the course of development of the practice.
