Second Draft of Revised Chinese Copyright Law Available for Comments by End of July
On 6 July 2012, the National Copyright Administration of China (NCAC) released the second draft of the revised Copyright Law of China along with a brief explanation concerning the revision.
NCAC released the first draft of the revised Copyright Law on 31 March 2012 and had received more than 1,600 opinions and suggestions from different sectors by end of May. After undergoing much discussion and deliberation by expert committee members and corresponding legislative and judicial departments, the first draft has been further revised and is now available for public comments.
Comments on the second draft of the revised Chinese Copyright Law may be directed to Department of Policy and Regulations, General Administration of Press and Publication of China by mail, fax or email, from now on until 31 July 2012.
