CPA Shanghai Holds Talk on US Patent Application
The Shanghai Office of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) recently invited Dr. Zhu Xiaochun from US law firm Scully, Scott, Murphy & Presser, P.C. to speak on the theme of patent application in the US. The talk was held in the afternoon of 2 April 2018.
Dr. Zhu's discussion focused on common procedural issues relating to patent applications filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She provided clear explanations in particular about issues of relevance to the Chinese applicants, such as restriction requirement, information disclosure statements (IDS), post final rejection options, and non-statutory double patenting.
The talk was also joined by CPA's clients via teleconference. It was well received by the participants who found it interesting and rewarding, thanks to Dr. Zhu's informative and detailed presentation.
