Recently, China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Beijing Intellectual Property Office (BIPO), and Guangzhou Development District Intellectual Property Office (GDDIPO) visited the headquarters of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) in Hong Kong respectively.

 

On 6 December 2018, a four-member delegation led by CNIPA deputy commissioner Mr. He Zhimin visited CPA Hong Kong Office during their stay in the territory for the Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia). During their visit, the CNIPA delegates were also arranged to meet at our office, with the company of our general manager Mr. Zeng Xiongling and deputy general manager Mr. Wu Yuhe, the legal counsel of several local innovative corporations including NAMI, Federation of Hong Kong Industries, and Konstar Industries Limited, for exchanges on topics such as technological innovation, input and transfer; commercialisation of technologies; ownership and sharing of IP rights; and patent protection and operation. The following day, the CNIPA delegation, accompanied by CPA deputy general manager Mr. Wu, made further visits and conducted in-depth exchanges with the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong and Versitech Ltd.

During the period when BIP Asia was held in the territory, CPA Hong Kong Office also received a BIPO delegation led by its deputy director Mr. Xu Wei as well as a GDDIPO delegation led by its director Mr. Liu Shi. The delegations were received by our deputy general manager Mr. Wu, and assistant general managers Mr. Wang Jingchao and Mr. Dong Buming for exchange of views on topical IP issues.
