CPA Attends 4th Congress of Patent Protection Association of China (PPAC)

On 26 July 2016, the 4th congress of Patent Protection Association of China (PPAC) was convened in Beijing with an attendance of 220. China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA), represented by assistant general manager Mr. Wang Jingchao, also took part in the congress.

 

The Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) Mr. Shen Changyu was present and gave an opening speech, during which he pointed out that protection of innovation was a core issue under the current national policy of accelerating the establishment of a strong IP country, and enterprises as the entities undertaking innovation had an increasingly important role to play to this cause. He recognised that PPAC had contributed much as an effective bridge between the government and enterprises in China since its founding 13 years ago, and hoped that the association would further contribute by continuing to grow and develop in this respect.

 

During the congress the 4th Council of PPAC was generated, and Mr. Meng Fengchao, chairman of China Railway Construction Corporation, was elected the new president of PPAC.
