CPA Elected as Board Member of China's First IP Services Association
China's first intellectual property services association - Capital Intellectual Property Services Association (CIPSA) – was recently found in Beijing. On 8 April 2015, the inauguration ceremony and general meeting of the association were held.
The event was chaired by Mr. Li Zhong, deputy director of Beijing Intellectual Property Office (BIPO). Mr. Gong Yalin, director of Planning and Development Department of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), and Mr. Wang Hong, director of BIPO, were present and gave speeches on the occasion.
During the general meeting, the 2014 work reports of the board of directors and supervisory committee of Beijing Intellectual Property Agent Association, the predecessor of CIPSA, were reviewed and approved. Subsequently, issues related to articles of association, membership fees and management of CIPSA were deliberated and passed.
The meeting also elected the board of directors and supervisory committee of CIPSA. We are glad that China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) Beijing office was elected as a board member, and Mr. Wu Yuhe, deputy director of CPA Beijing office, an executive director of the association. The association now has 150 plus members. Forty-five members were elected to the board of directors and five to the supervisory committee.
