CPA Attorneys Claim First Win before Beijing IP Court on Behalf of Swiss Client
Recently, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) won another patent infringement lawsuit on behalf of a Swiss client before the Beijing Intellectual Property Court. This is the first case our firm filed with the country's pioneer IP court on 6 November 2014, the very day the court started operation.
Before the court trial of this first-instance case, our attorneys conducted diligent investigation and evidence collection as well as careful deliberation of various scenarios, which served as solid basis for their convincing arguments and strong technical and legal analysis before the court. The alleged infringer eventually admitted that its product fell within the scope of protection of our client's patent.
The court in its ruling found that the allegation of infringement was established. The accused party was ordered to stop the infringement and pay damages to our client.
