CPA Deputy General Manager Lauded as Leading National Figure in IP
China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) is glad to inform that its deputy general manager Ms. Tina Tai has been honoured as one of the leading national figures in intellectual property, as announced by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) on 25 December 2012.
To arrive at the list of leading national IP figures, names of outstanding candidates for consideration were gathered from various channels, including IP bureaus nationwide, members of the ministerial joint meeting for implementation of national IP strategy, China Intellectual Property Society (CIPS), All-China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA), Patent Protection Association of China (PPAC), the State IPR Expert Advisory Committee, as well as self-recommendation.
It is planned that by end of the 12th five-year plan period (2011-2015), 200 leading figures will be identified from four sectors of the IP community, namely, IP administration and law enforcement organs, corporate IP departments, IP services providers, and higher education/R&D institutions. In this first list, 81 industry leaders have been named, with 20 of them coming from IP services sector. (The full list of leading national figures in IP is available here, in Chinese)
