CPA Attends 5th ACPAA-CNCPI Joint Meeting in Shanghai
On 22 June 2011, Ms. Jenny Wang, Senior Counsel of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) and Ms. Zou Xuemei, Deputy Director of CPA Shanghai office, attended the 5th joint meeting of All-China Patent Agents Association (ACPAA) and Compagnie Nationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (CNCPI) in Shanghai.
After the delivery of report on the work for year 2010-2011 for ACPAA and CNCPI respectively, the joint meeting moved on to discuss a wide range of topics including foreign filing licenses, European Union directives on patent infringement, third amendment of the Chinese Patent Law with focus on utility model, and infringement litigation in China. The meeting continued to serve as an effective platform for enhancing understanding of the latest IP development in China and Europe (in particular France), thereby facilitating further cooperation between China and France in IP-related matters.
There were 32 participants from the Chinese side, including President Mr. Yang Wu, Vice-President Mr. Wang Hongxiang, Secretary General Ms. Li Jianrong, and standing members of ACPAA, as well as patent attorneys from domestic patent agencies. The French side had 13 representatives from CNCPI.
