Strategic Cooperation Agreement Concluded on Promotion of IP Forensic Identification in Shenzhen
On 18 May 2014, a strategic cooperation agreement was signed between Theoretical Research Bases for Judicial Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in China under the Supreme People's Court of China, IPR Institute of Shenzhen University, Shenzhen Institute of Standards and Technology, and Shenzhen Gongbiao IP Forensic Identification & Evaluation Center (深圳市公标知识产权鉴定评估中心) in Shenzhen University, China.
The agreement initialises the four parties' cooperation on developing a common technical service platform for IP forensic identification and evaluation, promoting technology commercialisation, nurturing IP talents, and fostering a top-notch domestic forum on IP identification and evaluation for Shenzhen municipality.
The Shenzhen Gongbiao IP Forensic Identification & Evaluation Center was newly set up as the first of its kind in the municipality. It offers IP services including infringement identification, IP valuation and entrustment, contract analysis, technical analysis for IP in litigation, and ad hoc IP training in the areas of patent, trade secret, computer software, copyright, and trademark.
Held in concurrence with the signing ceremony was the first Shenzhen IP Identification & Evaluation Forum, which will be a yearly event for reporting on IP research results and development of the IP identification industry, as well as sharing experience in IPR protection practice in the municipality.
