First China Copyright Annual Meeting Convened in Beijing
On 5 December 2008, the First China Copyright Annual Meeting convened in Beijing. Entitled Copyright Protection and Industrial Development under the Internet Environment, the First China Copyright Annual Meeting was a platform for exchange of ideas and discussions on a series of copyright-related issues under the internet environment. Meanwhile, at the Annual Meeting were also selected the well-known influential figures and the most influential enterprises in the copyright industry in China in 2008.
Among the more than 300 people present at the Meeting were officials of the Government agencies, such as the General Administration for Information and Press, the National Copyright Administration, the Ministry of Industry and Information, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Proscuratorate, local copyright bureaus, copyright experts and scholars, and representatives from copyright agencies and publishing houses.
