CNIPA Seeks Public Opinions on Newly Revised Draft of China's Patent Examination Guidelines
The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) has just published a newly revised draft of the Guidelines for Patent Examination ("the Examination Guidelines"), which aims at ensuring the implementation of the Patent Law and the Implementing Regulations thereof at the level of examination practice.
Apart from adaptive amendments accommodating the relevant provisions of the revised Patent Law and the Implementing Regulations thereof, this draft revision also incorporates refinement of the Examination Guidelines made on the basis of public feedback collected previously on the revised drafts of the Examination Guidelines published by the CNIPA on 10 November 2020 and on 3 August 2021 respectively.
The newly revised draft of the Examination Guidelines is now available for public comments by the deadline of 15 December 2022. Members of the public may reflect their opinions to the Department of Treaty and Law of the CNIPA via email (tiaofasi@cnipa.gov.cn), fax or by mail.
