IP Australia Joins DESIGNview
IP Australia, Australia's IP office, has recently joined DESIGNview, an online tool initiated by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) which gives access to design applications and registrations provided by 73 participating offices to date.
IP Australia's accession will add more than 220,000 industrial designs to the 18 million plus designs now available in DESIGNview, and enables IP professionals and other users worldwide to easily find Australian designs, which, among others, help check the priority rights and novelty of a design.
DESIGNview since its inception in 2012 has served more than 6.7 million searches from 163 countries, with the UK, Germany, and China among the most frequent users.
