CNIPA: Announcement No. 350 Is Applicable to All Countries/Regions Affected by COVID-19  

The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) issued Announcement No. 350 on 28 January 2020 to provide details on the remedial measures for the parties failing to meet the time limits for handling matters of patents, trademarks or layout designs of integrated circuits for reasons related to the COVID-19 outbreak.

 

In the wake of the global spread of the epidemic, CNIPA issued on 27 March 2020 a supplementary notice on the application of Announcement No. 350. It is made clear in the notice that the measures stated in Announcement No. 350 are applicable to parties from any countries or regions impacted by the epidemic, and the affected parties may proceed with the relevant procedures in accordance with the requirements set out in Announcement No. 350.
