China Intellectual Property Forum Co-hosted by PPAC & WIPO Held in Beijing
China Intellectual Property Forum co-hosted by Patent Protection Association of China (PPAC) and World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) was held in Beijing on 13-14 December 2017. The forum was opened by PPAC chairman Mr. Meng Fengchao and WIPO China Office director Mr. Chen Hongbing.
The theme of this forum was "Innovation for a New Time; Innovation for the Future". Representatives from leading innovative enterprises of various industries including CRRC Corporation, Huawei Technologies, China International Marine Containers, Midea Group, and Beijing Xiaomi Technology were invited to the forum, discussing issues including enterprise innovation under the new economic normal, opportunities and challenges of Internet Plus, IP and innovation ecosystem, IP rights protection and enterprise innovation, and fostering and operation of high-value IPs.
Concurrently held during the session was China Outstanding Patents Exhibition, which showcased recent years' patented work honoured with the Award for Chinese Outstanding Patented Invention & Industrial Design from 60-plus participating enterprises including Haier Group, Chengdu Kanghong Pharmaceutical Group, State Grid Corporation of China, Midea Group, and Nongfu Spring.
