SIPO Seeks Public Opinions on Revision of Patent Examination Guidelines (Draft for Comment)

The State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) has published the Revision of Patent Examination Guidelines (Draft for Comment) to solicit public opinions. This proposed revision involves a number of issues, including those related to the protection of business models and computer programs, submission of supplementary experimental data, amendment to the claims in invalidation procedure, disclosure of patent examination information, and suspension of procedures.

Any members of the public, if interested, may reflect their views and suggestions on the draft Guidelines in the form of letter, email or fax to SIPO by the deadline of 27 November 2016.
