At the opening of the conference, NCAC vice minister Yan Xiaohong delivered a speech, in which he pointed to three positive trends of copyright protection in the country, namely, the increasingly important role of copyright in shaping the ecology of the Internet, the industry's consensus expectation for effective digital environment governance, and the elevation of the online copyright enforcement to a higher level, with focused efforts on fighting infringement related to online literature, online news reproduction, and mobile terminal applications.
During the conference, the 2015 report on copyright protection in China compiled by China Academy of Information and Communication Technology Research was released.
