The 2nd Chinese IP Court Forum Held in Beijing
The 2nd Chinese Intellectual Property Court Forum was held in Beijing on 12-13 May 2016. The forum gathered about 500 participants, including judges, attorneys, industry experts, and academicians, to exchange views and information on issues relating to judicial IP protection in China.
This year's forum focused on the theme of judicial adjudication and realisation of the value of IP. Eight sub-forums were held surrounding the theme, covering respectively the topics of: determination of damages and realisation of the value of IP; reform of the IP adjudication system; establishment of the case guiding system; building of IP legal communities; new development on patent protection; new development on trademark; new development on copyright; and new development on IP proceedings.
The forum was hosted by China Intellectual Property Law Association and Beijing Intellectual Property Law Association, and co-organised by Beijing Intellectual Property Court, Beijing Intellectual Property Office, and Beijing College of Politics and Law.
