China Quality Month to Take Place in September
The Quality Month of China 2015 is going to take place In September. This year's national quality month campaign is organised by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) along with 38 government agencies and industry associations, including the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), the State Administration for Industry & Commerce (SAIC), and the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television (SAPPRFT).
In accordance with the 2015 Action Plan for Implementing the Outline for Quality Development, different organisers will hold activities such as quality awards, symposiums, competitions, and promotional programs addressing areas of their respective concerns in cities across the country.
Among the themes this year, fighting against infringement of intellectual property rights and production and sale of fake and inferior products is one of the focuses. In this respect, relevant authorities during the coming Quality Month will intensify checks and investigation, regulation, and disposal of cases in areas related to the welfare of the people as well as advanced technology, such as food, pharmaceuticals, medical apparatus and equipment, environmental protection, and electronic information, in particular where they occur in e-commerce, exhibitions, and free trade zones. In addition, matching sessions will be offered to guide and assist patent owners in administrative enforcement of IP rights.
