106 Greater China Corporations Make it to 2015 Fortune Global 500
This year's Fortune Global 500 has been released by Fortune magazine on 22 July 2015.
The 2015 Fortune Global 500, which ranked the world's top 500 corporations based on total revenues for the fiscal year ended on or before 31 March 2015, saw its revenue threshold raised to US$23.72 billion this year (compared with US$23.7 billion the previous year). Among the 36 countries that represented the 2015 list, the US continued to be the country leader with 128 companies on the list (same as previous year).
For the Greater China region, there were 106 companies in this year's Global 500, with 92 (compared with 91 in 2014) from mainland Chinese, 6 (4 in 2014) from Hong Kong, and 8 (5 in 2014) from Taiwan. Among them, 3 mainland Chinese companies made it to the top 10 of 2015 Fortune Global 500, as shown in the table below.

In addition, the Greater China region had nine companies newly entered the list. They were: China Railway Engineering (ranked the 71st), Shaanxi Coal & Chemical Industry (416th), China Everbright Group (420th), China Aerospace Science & Technology (437th), China Poly Group (457th), and HNA Group (464th) from China; AIA Group (467th) from Hong Kong; and Cathay Life Insurance (471st) and Taiwan Semiconductor (472nd) from Taiwan.
