CCPIT Sets Up Foreign Trade-Related IP Service Centre
The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) recently set up an intellectual property service centre in Beijing, which is the first of its kind in the country to cater specifically for the needs of enterprises involved in foreign trade. The IP service centre was unveiled by its director Mr. Ma Hao on 8 December 2014. CCPIT chairman Mr. Jiang Zengwei and deputy chairman Mr. Lu Pengqi were present and delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
The service centre assists enterprises involved in foreign trade in enhancing their capacities in creation, exploitation, protection and management of intellectual properties, coping better with IP disputes abroad, and developing international exchanges and cooperation. Services provided by the centre include patent analysis, licensing and assignment, as well as IP consulting, assessment, and early warning analysis.
