China Adopts 2015 Version of Nice Classification for Trademark Registration
The 2015 version of the 10th edition of the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks, i.e. Nice Classification (NCL(10-2015)) published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will come into effect on 1 January 2015.
China Trademark Office (CTMO), as a member of the Nice Union, will also adopt on 1 January 2015 an updated version of the Classification Table of Similar Goods and Services, incorporating changes brought by NCL(10-2015) to the previous version of the Nice Classification.
