SIPO Issues Work Plan for Special Action on Patent Law Enforcement and Right Protection in E-commerce Sector
The State Intellectual Property Office of China (“SIPO”) recently issued the Work Plan for Special Action on Patent Law Enforcement and Right Protection in E-commerce Sector.
The work plan organises and coordinates the implementation of China's nationwide special action addressing the issues of patent infringement and counterfeiting in the area of e-commerce. It specifies the objectives, division of responsibilities, manners of operation, work requirements, and timelines of the special action.
According to the work plan, the special action will be carried out by SIPO, local IP offices, and other relevant authorities between June and November of 2014.
