China Adopts 2016 Version of Nice Classification for Trademark Registration
The 2016 version of the 10th edition of the International Classification of Goods and Services for the Purposes of the Registration of Marks, i.e. Nice Classification (NCL(10-2016)) published by the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) has come into force on 1 January 2016.
The China Trademark Office, as a member of the Nice Union, has adopted on 1 January 2016 an updated version of the Classification Table of Similar Goods and Services to reflect the changes brought by NCL(10-2016) to the previous version of the Nice Classification.
