Copyright Registrations in China Maintain Substantial Growth in 2015
According to the latest statistics published by the National Copyright Administration of China, copyright registration in China continued to maintain strong growth in 2015, with total copyright registrations amounting to 1.6412 million, representing a surge of 35.49% from the previous year.
Of the total copyright registrations, 1.3482 million were works registrations, up 35.9% from the previous year. In terms of types of works registered, the leading three were photographic works, literary works, and works of fine art, which accounted for 38.74%, 37.19%, and 20.84% of the works registrations during the year respectively.
Also among the total copyright registrations were computer software registrations and copyright pledge registrations, which amounted to 292,400 with a year-on-year rise of 33.63% and 606 with a year-on-year rise of 22.18% respectively.
