The 5th Patent Information Annual Conference of China Held in Beijing

The 5th Patent Information Annual Conference of China was held in Beijing on 11-12 September 2014. The annual event, launched in 2010, was organised by Intellectual Property Publishing House, a subordinate unit of the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO).
The theme of this year was "Integrating Patent Operation with Economic Development". Apart from keynote speeches delivered by guest speakers from IBM Corporation, Novartis Pharma AG, Beijing Incoshare, Tsinghua University, WIPO China Office, SIPO, and Guangdong IP Office, there were also breakout sessions, training, exhibitor workshops, and roundtable discussion. Topics discussed during the sessions included corporate practice of IP management, patent issues faced with Chinese corporation going global, patent information products and services, patent operation, and patent right protection.
This year's conference gathered 1,800 plus participants from home and abroad, including representatives from IP offices, the judiciary, enterprises, universities and research institutions, and patent information product providers.
