Three Chinese Government Organs Honoured with Global Anti-Counterfeiting Awards
The day of 8 June 2011 saw the celebration in Paris of the World Anti-Counterfeiting Day, during which the presentation ceremony for Global Anti-Counterfeiting Awards was concurrently held.
The Awards continue to recognize outstanding contributions to the campaign against the trade in fakes, and for this year, prizes are awarded under five categories, on the basis of individuals, public sector organizations, companies, associations and the media respectively. In addition, there are honours of recommendations under the public sector organisations and the companies categories.
Among the winners of the Awards are three Chinese government organs: General Administration of China Customs gets the Public Sector Organisation Award, while both Economic Crimes Investigation Department under Chinese Ministry of Public Security and Chinese Ministry of Commerce are honoured as Commended Public Sector Organisations.
Other government organs which also receive commendations include: CID IP Rights Branch under Singapore Police Force, Korean Customs Service, National Bureau of Investigation under IP Rights Department of the Philippines, and Danish Patent and Trademark Office.
