CPA Wins China Business Law Awards 2021 for IP Category
China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) was recently named a winner of China Business Law Awards 2021 for the IP (Patent) category by China Business Law Journal, the bilingual monthly magazine for China-focused business and legal practitioners. The Awards recognised law firms of a range of practice areas for their notable accomplishments in providing innovative, constructive, and sophisticated legal solutions in the past year.
In China Business Law Journal's awards report, the mention about our firm is as follows:
"China Patent Agent (HK) represented Pfizer and succeeded in defending its patent before both the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and Beijing Intellectual Property Court in November 2020. The case was listed as one of the CNIPA’s top 10 patent re-examination and invalidation cases of the year, as it is believed to be of high guiding value in the clarification of the rules and thoughts for the allocation of burden of proof where there is controversy over an advantageous technical effect."
The results of the Awards were based on thousands of months-long surveys conducted with China-focused corporate counsel, decision makes, legal experts, and government officials, as well as the candidates' landmark deals, number of cases handled, and other noteworthy achievements during the year.
