CPA Attends Sino-US Enterprises Intellectual Property Round Table Meeting
On 4 November 2019, the Sino-US Enterprises Intellectual Property Round Table Meeting was held in Beijing. The meeting was jointly organised by the Legal Affairs Department of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Patent Protection Association of China (PPAC), and Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) of the US. China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA), represented by our assistant general manager Mr. Wang Jingchao, also attended the meeting.
The meeting aimed at building a supportive business environment for the corporate sectors of China and the US through providing a platform for IP exchange between the enterprises of the two countries. CCPIT vice chairman Mr. Lu Pengqi, in addressing the meeting, underscored the importance of IP and stressed that CCPIT attaches much importance to the enhancement of Sino-US economic and trade cooperation in many dimensions including IP, and wishes to contribute to this cause by promoting pragmatic cooperation between the two sides together with IPO and other US business and legal establishments.
The meeting was attended by more than 80 academics and experts from industry associations, research institutions and reputed enterprises of China and the US, and in-depth exchanges were made on topics surrounding key IP provisions in Foreign Investment Law of China, diversified means of resolving IP disputes, and latest development and practice of patent examination in China.
