CPA Delegates Attend the 2nd Meeting of the 7th Council of China Intellectual Property Society

 

On 7 December 2018, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) deputy general manager Ms. Tina Tai, Beijing Office deputy director Mr. Yuan Shaohui, and Shanghai Office director Mr. Xiong Yanfeng attended the second meeting of the seventh council of China Intellectual Property Society (CIPS) in Beijing.

 

CIPS president Mr. Tian Lipu presided over the meeting, and China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) deputy commissioner Mr. Gan Shaoning delivered remarks, during which he recognised the achievement of CIPS over the past year, and shared his vision for the society's development against the background of a reorganised CNIPA and continued improvement of the Chinese patent laws and regulations.

 

CIPS secretary general Mr. Zhao Zhibin then reviewed the society's major accomplishments in 2018 and preliminary work plans of 2019. The meeting also heard the work reports of 2018 from CIPS Network Intellectual Property Commission and National Defense in Intellectual Property Commission, as well as the briefings on the society's work related to intellectual properties of academic institutions.

 

During the meeting, CPA deputy general manager Mr. Wu Yuhe was elected executive member of the council of CIPS, and CPA Shanghai Office director Mr. Xiong Yanfeng elected member of the council of CIPS.

 

The meeting had an attendance of over 150 from across the country, comprising officials from relevant central and local government departments, as well as experts, academics, and company representatives of related fields.
