CPA Professionals Attend CCPIT 2018 Attorneys at law Training

On 15-16 December 2018, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA)'s attorneys at law, joining their counterparts from CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade), CCPIT Commercial Legal Services Center, CCPIT Intellectual Property Services Center, and CCPIT Enterprises Rights Protection Center, attended CCPIT's 2018 training for the IP litigation professionals held in Beijing.

 

At the opening of the training, CCPIT vice chairman Mr. Lu Pengqi addressed the 240-plus attendees. In his speech Mr. Lu outlined the current domestic and international economic landscape and pointed out that the world economic dynamics have raised the bar on the professionalism of legal practitioners and other talents. He urged that in responding to the demand of the times, the participants should take advantage of the training to acquire greater professional proficiency.

The two-day training featured lectures by Ms. Yang Hongju, head of division in Legal Affairs Department of China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA); Judge Chen Yong of Beijing Intellectual Property Court; Mr. Cui Guobin, vice dean of School of Law of Tsinghua University; and Professor Xu Shenjian from China University of Political Science and Law.

 

The lectures given by the mentioned speakers related respectively to the newly revised Regulations on Patent Agency; IP litigation proceedings and pre-litigation preservation of evidence; typical cases and frontier issues relating to internet copyright; and lawyers' professional ethics and attorneys at law's practice disciplines.
