CPA Invited to World IP Day 2018 Celebration Reception
On 26 April 2018, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) assistant general manager Mr. Wang Jingchao and Patent Application Department manager Mr. Ma Yongli attended the World IP Day 2018 celebration reception organised by Intellectual Property Department of Hong Kong SAR (IPD) for the stakeholders in the IP industry.
The theme of this year's World IP Day was "Powering change: Women in innovation and creativity", which celebrated the brilliance, ingenuity, curiosity and courage of the women who are driving change in our world and shaping our common future. The reception was opened with a welcome remark by IPD director Ms. Ada Leung Ka-li followed by an address by Dr. Bernard Chan Pak-li, under secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of Hong Kong SAR. Echoing the theme of 2018 World IP Day, Professor Vivian Taam Wong, lauded as a vanguard of integrative medicine, was invited to share her views on the initiative of developing Hong Kong into an international traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hub.
The reception was attended by over a hundred guests representing the local government, commerce and industry sectors, IP community, and the media.
