SIPO Deputy Commissioner Visits CPA Hong Kong

On 20 October 2017, a delegation of the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) headed by deputy commissioner Mr. He Zhimin visited the Hong Kong headquarters of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) during their stay in Hong Kong for the Mainland and Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR Intellectual Property Symposium.

The SIPO delegation met our senior management and managers of various business departments during their visit. CPA deputy general manager Mr. Luo Hong welcomed the delegation on behalf of our firm, and after that briefed them on our latest business status and our collaboration with SIPO over recent years. Mr. He thanked CPA for our support and proceeded to hear our opinions and suggestion with respect to the work of SIPO. During the meeting, CPA managers put forward questions concerning the principles of examination and practical issues as related to their respective business areas, and carried out serious discussion with the delegation.

Mr. He also encouraged CPA to bring into full play a leading role in the industry in helping the going global of the Chinese enterprises, and supported the development of the Chinese IP system leveraging foreign experience, thus contributing to the creation of an innovative nation.
