CPA Delegation Participate in 6th Business of IP Asia Forum in Hong Kong

On 1-2 December 2016, the 6th Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia Forum) co-organised by the HKSAR Government, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and Hong Kong Design Centre was held in Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) was a bronze sponsor of this year's BIP Asia Forum, and was represented at the event by a five-member delegation comprising assistant general manager Mr. Wang Jingchao, department managers, and senior staff.

The forum attracted 2,500 plus IP professionals and business leaders from different parts of the world. HKSAR chief executive CY Leung was present for the opening ceremony, and opening remarks were also delivered by Ms. Wang Binying, deputy director general of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); Mr. Yi Xiaozhun, deputy director-general of World Trade Organization (WTO); and Mr. Deng Yingjun, deputy director general of Office of General Affairs of Patent Office, State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO). More than 80 industry leaders and experts were invited to speak for the forum surrounding this year's theme of "IP in the Innovation Era" covered in two plenary sessions and 15 plus breakout sessions.

Alongside the sessions was the BIP Exhibition, which gathered more than 80 IP owners, international brands and service providers to showcase their products and services. CPA was also one of the exhibitors, and our colleagues made use of the platform to communicate with their international counterparts, establish new contacts, and answer IP-related queries from forum participants.
