CPA Wins First Runner-up in Debut ACPAA Badminton Tournament
On 21-22 August 2015, the Friendship Cup Badminton Tournament organised by All-China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA) for its members' participation debuted in Beijing.
This first ACPAA badminton tournament attracted about 200 players from 14 patent firms in Beijing, and was played under men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) was also one of the participating teams. Our team, going all out with positive team spirit and good tactics, won three games in a row in the group stage, and advanced as the top ranking team to the round of 8. It continued to defeat some strong teams in the knockout stage until facing a toughest opponent at the final. After a "never give up" fight, our team claimed second place in the overall tournament.
While this debut tournament involved only member firms of the Beijing municipality, ACPAA is planning to expand the scale of the tournament to accommodate patent firms from across the country next year.
