CPA Attends LES Pan European Conference 2013 Held in Switzerland

The LES Pan European Conference 2013, hosted by Licensing Executives Society (Switzerland), took place in Davos, Switzerland on 23-25 June 2013. The event gathered around 300 global IP professionals interested in licensing, technology transfer, and industry property to exchange views and share experience on related topics.

Represented by its general manager Mr. Li Yong, along with Shenzhen office director Mr. Wen Dapeng, Shanghai office director Mr. Liu Dong, and Munich office director Mr. Deng Ming, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) was also a participant at the conference.

The programme of the conference comprised a mixture of lectures and workshops with international content and local flavour of Switzerland. The lectures, on the one hand, focused on global challenges for licensing, technology transfer, and industry property, and on the other hand, emphasised the blue economy and the development of a sustainable economical environment worldwide. The workshops ran in four parallel sessions, related respectively to i) patents; ii) trademarks, designs and copyrights; iii) licensing, IP market, asset management, technology transfer; and iv) IP law, IP transactions in BRICS states, global pharmaceutical license collaborations.

The conference has provided a good platform for close contact among the senior IP professionals in Europe. CPA is glad to leverage the chance to gain an insight into the trend of development in licensing, technology transfer, and industry property from the perspectives of the European industries. Many participants there are senior IP leaders from major European industrial companies, including the firm's clients Philips, Siemens, Bombardier, Roche Diagnostics, Novartis, Sulzer, Sygenta, ZF, Porsche, and Solvay.

After the conclusion of the sessions, the CPA delegates proceeded to visit some of the firm's clients in Germany.
