CPA Beijing Office Convenes 2012 Year-end Review Meeting

On 25 January 2013, China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA) Beijing office convened staff meeting for year-end review of 2012 in its multi-function hall. The meeting gathered 270 plus attendees, including the firm’s top management, and the office's senior executives and staff.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Kong Zhiqiang, assistant general manager and director of CPA Beijing office. Mr. Kong reported on the work of the office over the past year, pointing particularly to the good results reaped by the firm’s three core divisions of patents, trademarks, and legal affairs, as well as satisfactory performance of tasks by respective function departments that had helped to sustain the development of the firm.

General manager Mr. Li Yong in his speech gave staff members of the office a lot of credit for their contribution to the impressive results of the firm in 2012, which was not easy at all under the current competitive landscape of the industry. Mr. Li also mentioned the awards and honours gained by the firm during the year, among them, its being named as a top tier IP firm in China by MIP magazine, as a highly recommended firm in China for patent prosecution practice by IAM Patent 1000, as a tier 1 firm across patent litigation and prosecution as well as trademark litigation and prosecution in China by Asia IP magazine, and as a patent firm of excellence of the year in China by China Intellectual Property News.

Chairman Mr. Zhang Xiaoli in his address also commended the management and staff for the firm's remarkable achievement in year 2012. Mr. Zhang, while reiterating CPA's corporate philosophy of committing to provide the best services to the clients and company culture of emphasis on humanistic value, would like to see continued growth of the staff alongside the firm so that services provided by the firm would be well-tuned toward market needs.

During the meeting, a total of 19 employees at CPA Beijing office who were recognised under the 2012 excellence awards for consistently excelling in their positions and demonstrating integrity and strong commitment in discharging their duties were honoured and presented with certificates of honour.
