CPA Senior Attorneys Participate in Shanghai IP Salon
On 25 May 2010, the 16th IP salon organized by Pudong New Area Intellectual Property Bureau was held in Pudong, Shanghai. Ms. Tina TAI, Assistant General Manager of China Patent Agent (H.K.) Ltd. (CPA), and Mr. TAN Zuoxi, Deputy Director of CPA Shanghai office, were invited to speak on the occasion in the capacity of senior patent attorneys.
Said salon explored the themes of drafting patent application documents and dealing with patent litigation in light of recent development in Chinese patent law and patent examination practice. Specifically, Mr. Tan examined corporate patent strategies and illustrated his analysis with case studies, whereas Ms. Tai detailed on the key issues for an enterprise to attend to in drafting patent application documents from the perspective of securing a strong position in litigation. During the salon, Mr. Tan and Ms. Tai had a good interaction with the participants, answering queries and sharing experience in discussion.
The talks were well attended by nearly 120 participants from more than 70 entities, including high-tech enterprises from the area, patent pilot and exemplary enterprises, joint-ventures, and IP agencies in Shanghai.
